The project was done in Aalto University's Product Architecture Design course during spring 2020.
Due to new circumstances created by Corona-virus, our team was tasked to come up with a solution to fight against the virus.
As a result we came up with a modular solution that can be mounted on a drone to disinfect surfaces in public spaces via Ultraviolet Light.

Examples of different public environments where UV drone could be used.
The concept was designed to be used in public spaces which are propitious in spreading the virus. These can be cruise ships, airports, hospitals, etc...

Drone was designed to be used by floor maintenance personnel during off-hours. This was due to UV lights carcinogenic character. The drone would depart and return to maintenance trolley and ignite the light at the safe distance from the cleaner.
